European reporters present eight solution-oriented stories for a more climate-friendly urban development in front of a live audience.

Music by members of Stegreif - The Improvising Symphony Orchestra

JIVE Climate is a joint production of CORRECTIV and Headliner.

Join us for the premiere of a stage show that will make waves in Germany! JIVE stands for a new way of presenting journalism: live, on stage, enriched with music by an orchestra. This genre, called live journalism, has already filled venues with over 2000 audience members in other countries.

The premiere in Berlin is a special edition: "JIVE Climate" brings together eight stories on how cities can effectively address climate change - not only in Germany, but throughout Europe. Inspiring approaches from Bochum to Barcelona will be presented by reporters who have researched the challenges and solutions in environmental and climate protection in their cities.

A special addition to the show is a quintet from the award-winning improvising orchestra Stegreif. Recompositions from the #bechange programme will be integrated, adding artistic value to the production.

Both musically and journalistically, a future becomes visible in which people actively strive towards climate protection and make a difference - very concretely, in their urban environment. The show juxtaposes the omnipresent stream of catastrophic news reports with the conviction that a more sustainable, fairer climate culture is possible and that everyone can make a contribution.

During the intermission and after the show, the theater foyer turns into an open marketplace where viewers get the chance to exchange ideas with experts or actively support one of the causes. There will also be the opportunity to exchange ideas with the performers.

JIVE Climate is a joint production of CORRECTIV and Headliner, made possible by the support from the Allianz Foundation as part of the Climate Cultures Call as well as the Journalismfund Europe.
